          | most I have seen run 8-9 bolt adapters.  seems like there are alot of cap bros wheel centers out now too.   if you go with an adapter, you can sell your wheels easier if they dont work for you, as you wont be selling to AC guys only.  i cant say i have seen any  non AC guys adapting 8 bolt wheels to 9 bolt hubs but i suppose its possible.
you will be lighter with an 8 bolt center vs one with adapter, but not many 38's on 8

          | Some of us cut out the 9-hole center and weld in an 8 bolt center. When you run 3500 lbs, I need everything lightweight, and those 10 or 15 pound adapters ain't in the program. Resale value?? I never sell wheels, and surely not to a brand X competitor. |

          | Ok, I'll be running 4500 and 5500, so weight isn't an issue. Where would a guy find the adapters? |

          | Massey Ferguson 85 tractors had 38" rims and an 8 bolt pattern same as a WD.Also some of the newer tractors around have 38" wheels with 8 lug centers
don't know if the bolt pattern is the same or not.

          | I just bought some 8 bolt repair rings and cut out the 9 bolt pattern, welded them in. Link imp in Ridgeland had the 8 bolt rings and they're cheap, don't rember but $30-$40 sticks in my mind.

          | That's a lot cheaper idea. Adapters are $350+ shipping.... reinforcement rings are $63.. just gotta trust my welding now!
