I was roaming around a scrap yard today and found a WD 45 diesel wide front. Just sitting there in the weeds. Rough, rough, rough. Other than the rear fenders it's probably all there. But ...

if it is a 45 diesel,you would be surprised what can be done to save it.all it takes is a lot of work and some money,you will be surprised with what you end up with.....

Maybe I'll go back next week and find out what he wants. He has dozens of tractors in his yard. Many have been cannibalized. Some haven't been touched. Yet. The WD45D doesn't look like it's missing parts. Looks like it's been there a long time. But he may think it's really valuable. He tries to fix some of them up but there are way too many and he keeps buying more. Some can't be clearly seen for the vegetation. It's a mess.

Buy it and part it out, I know lot of guys look for the bell housing adapter plate, governor, etc. to put a combine engine in a WD45. Engine will be a money pit for sure

When it comes to a model like the 45 diesel they all can be saved in my books and well worth it!! Buy it if it's cheap and if you can't afford to fix it now put it in the corner of the shed for a retirement project!
