Subject: Scamp transaxle parts?

| Just got an 8 scamp. Got it running, drove about 800' and transaxle stopped. Leaked oil then ran with no oil and have oval hole where bushing use to go. I can probably mill bigger then make big bushing to press in. But one gear looks rough. Anyone know if any parts are available or a place to try. Thanks |

| It is a scamp 8. According to ereplacementparts.com gears aren't available. I may have to see about weld or braze and broach or mill after. I didn't see any tag or numbers but i didn't pressure wash it i just scraped around. |

Well just because they aren't made anymore doesn't mean I or someone doesn't have them sitting around new and looking for a new home but I'd need to know exactly what you need. | Its two of the four gears the axle gear contacts (all four the same). Maybe the forward reverse system. I'll see if i can upload pic tonight. I hardly get on computer anymore. |

 Ist it # 31? If so, it is a differential gear. They are very common and I still got some new ones last year. They are used in the differential on all of the B-Series, 700, and 900 Series. I probably have a couple of decent used ones.
