The line that runs from the pump at the cab firewall to the fluid cooler rubbed through.  I lost about 3 gallons of fluid before I got it shut down.  Replaced the line and refilled the fluid.  Now, with the 3-pt arms raised, the power steering gets 'jumpy' then almost non-existent.  Lower the arms and it goes back to normal.

Did ya put the oil in the trans or rear end?  Power steering is off the gear pump and that gets oil from the trans.  The tube at the back of rear end housing below the cab window is the trans dipstick and fill tube.  It does sound like air.  Air will work its way out fairly quickly, Id double check the oil level.  HTH

Refilled the trans  on the upper LH side (long tube w/dipstick) not the one above the top link w/o dipstick.
I've run it off and on for about 30 minutes, working the steering and lift, then checking the fluid.  It's staying at the same level now.

Sight glasses never showed oil to be low.

Remove the top sight glass by unscrewing it.(they get foggy).........the oil you lost is from the orbitrol??..which is rearend oil.

By chance, you didn't change out the hydraulic filters too.  I once forgot to put the pusher on the end of the filter and hand no or very little power steering.
