One thing that gets me is how whoever had my G before me bent the fender around leaving a crease in it to get the battery out. Taking off the fender or the seat is the only way. There's not much room on that tractor obviously and it's really crammed in there with only a few inches of clearance to the fender. My G battery is so dead it won't even take enough charge to pop start the tractor.

Don't you just love how some people improvise? Especially when their in a hurry.

I "improvised" mine so the bottom hanger hooks on so one can just unbolt the top hanger then lift the box with battery in it off the tractor.
I think it's Don Turner, ad on page 47 spring '10 Old Allis News, builds a G battery box that the front side has a hinge so the battery can be removed with out taking parts off tractor.

Yes, it's a shame what people did to these tractors. Bending the fender was common to get the battery out. I would never do that to my "favorite".

Hey bigallis1; that was your 100th post! Your silver level now! :D
Yeah it really sucks how the fender has a crease and a rust line in it now. It's not even that hard to take it off. I want to say four bolts? Maybe a couple more because of the gas tank?
Yes I think I will improvise on the box; like on my CA battery box I made it so one side slides straight up and out making the battery come out sideways. I should post a picture; it's neat.
