Kind of Allis related. IH collectors worldwide published an article in April 2010 issue about the recent find of a one row cotton picker mounted on a farmall 200. While attending the G roundup I spoke with an ex Allis employee (Bill Sommers). I told Bill about my uncle's Merlyn's museum in Manning Iowa. Bill thought the picker would make a great addition and topic of discussion at the Forgotten corner museum. Long  story short is the picker made it's way from Gadsden AL. to it new home in Iowa. My uncle has plans of restoring the machine for parades and trying to grow a small patch of cotton for it to pick. Don't know if the cotton will grow but it's worth a try. There are some pictures as well as the rest of the story written by my father Ron (also an avid orange collector) in the Harvester Highlights. Was neat to see some orange in the pictures for the red magazine. Hopefully the old picker doesn't feel intimidated by all the Allis around it. LoL
