Went to sale today and there was a EMC Special Allis tractor.
It was used at the Airport.
Paul a Friend of mine, end up with it and added to his rare Allis and other tractors collection. Also included a picture of his rig and other tractors he bought.

I'm a little suspicious...never heard of anything like that. Decals are a little fishy too. Says "Allis" twice and no "Chalmers".

There was a post on here not too long ago about these tractors. I had never heard of them until then. This one looks just like the other one. I don't remember the story on them though, I'm sure someone will.

That what makes it rare, not seen. Nothing to be suspicious about it all. It has been cover before, this is the third tractor I have seen like it. Story was it was used to pick up debris off the runway at the airports with magnet.

I thought they had a electro magnet under them to pick up debris? Made for the Navy?

Fred, It came from OH.
The price just got to high for me.
This tractor will be at the GOTO in MO. After it was loaded, I question the narrow front.
AJ, not for sure why the built the front rill shell like they did, but it does look like you other later Industrials tractor Allis built.

Armand,
Know I have seen 4 tractors.
That is the first one with the magnet. The other three had the heavy built front axle as you pictured. I will send those pictures to my friend. Thanks for posting.

I was at the sale yesterday, and the one from yesterdays sale had a different platform and dash, then the one with the wide front, but I will say it all looked factory. I was standing by the man taking phone bids from someone from Tenn.

They probably are "factory" but NOT Allis factory. I think these were conversions, kinda like the Thompson High Crops were conversions..JMO

I looked it over very closely. I believe the changes to the sheet metal and the added platform were done by a factory but the 3 point was something that came later as the cuts to the platform to allow room for the hitch were uneven and looked as if it was just torched. The tractor doesn't really share much with the magna-sweep units.
