Last winter I finally found a master tool carrier for my G, gave the required pint(s) of blood.
The joints are free and pretty tight, but I am missing the lift links / springs.
I was thinking I could just hook the cultivator to the lift frame with some chain, wouldn't the down pressure on the sweeps keep it tight? And still allow it to come up if I hit something?

Creek, First congratulations on obtaining a tool carrier for your G. I'm sure they are tough to find.
Could you use it without the required pressure rods? Of course, but it would be better to use the proper links. You do need some solid pressure to operate the cultivators or they may not penetrate the ground. Check with Sandy Lake they may be able to find you what you need.

Thanks for your comments. Bill - you are probably right, I would just be depending on the dirt being loose enough to pull the cultivators down, there is a good chance they would "bounce" off. Dave - that would be really great, I'm able to get stuff fabricated here at work by a really understanding metal fab dept (I just had a featherplate cut for my whiz bang chicken plucker, all it cost me was a box of donuts and a Komatsu hat). If you have some dimensions that would be great. I think the rear cultivator uses the same link. Haven't been able to find any other AC implements that use this rod.

It's called a pressure rod on page 9 of the implement manual (thanks again Joe for those manuals). I found this pic of a grader blade on a G, they were using the pressure rods to raise/lower it. Let me know if you have any to spare!

It looks like it's used on the Hydraulic Master Tool Carrier and Drawbars, part #s Qty. 2 800606 pressure rod which includes Qty. 2 900938 cotter pin 1 911442 cotter pin 2 912018 plain washer 2 302802 spring, pressure rod I think I've got them, NOT for sale. If you need I can measure them. Where did you find that scraper blade. I will trade my set of lift link/springs for a scrapper blade. :>) Dusty

Unfortunately, not my scraper blade. I think that is a pic from last summers G roundup, I believe Joe took it. I saved it 'cause one of these days I'm going to try to build one. Maybe I'll build two.......
