My C has started leaking oil (from a place I have not seen it before, lol!).
It looks like it is coming from the rear of the camshaft pully on the front of the engine.
I have had the Alternator come off due to a bad welding job by the previous owner and had to fix it.

My question is, do I have to take the whole engine apart to replace the seal or can it be accomplished from the front? I have never had any problems with the engine before and would rather not tear it down if I don't have to.

TIA
Miles

It can be done from the front. If you remove the ft cover, you will need a special alignment tool as there are no dowel pins to line the cover. When I overhauled my CA engine, I had it standing on it's flywheel and let the new seal center the cover while I carefully tightened it down.
