Are the two inside bolts for the exhaust manifold, on a D12 wet bolts? If so, is there any suggested method of sealing the threads?

I recently had the head rebuilt. After putting everything back together and putting coolant in, I noticed that there is coolant leaking from the bolt holes (while bolt is in hole). If I take a bolt out, fluid gushes out. I assume that they pass through the jacket.. Can anyone confirm this.

Thanks,
Travis

That is common with them. Use a good non hardening sealer like Permatex brand. Tighten the stud down before installing manifold, you won't have any proiblems. HTH Tracy

There shouldn't be any "bolts" there. Use a stud and do like Tracy said, bottom the studs out in the threads but don't torque them in place, just snug them in the bottom and then torque the nut.
