Nice looking load! I like the looks of the shortened fenders onthe trailer,too. it doesn't look like you lost an axle any more.

Adam, That picture is from 3 years ago before many changes were madeThe trailer is a true 'work in progress' with changes
made out of necessity as the need arose
The trailer now has drive on ramps which extend the width to 100"
for tractors that can't slide the wheels in ...
It also has a very mild dovetail which allows transport of
airbagged cars - race cars - indy light cars ....
Lots of changes over the years ....
The newest is the Dexter E-Z Flex equalizer sytem we just
installed that reduces vibration from the road by 80%
to the trailer deck
Man can I tell the difference !

| Jim, I saw you went through much of my old stomping grounds on this trip...I was raised in Gillette, WY and had Grandparents in Rapid City, SD, we went there about monthly. I got married in Reno almost 16 years ago...We were stationed at Herlong, CA near Redding. Other Grandparents were in Portland, OR--had to visit them too! Thanks for the trip down memory lane. This trip was interesting for me ....
I ended up going south from Fargo, ND and across South Dakota
into Wyoming (which I have done before).
But I stopped at Independence Rock in Alcova, WY for the first time
and it was yet another reminder of what great history lies just
along the side of the American road ...
Over 500,000 settlers passed that way between 1843 to 1869
averaging 16 to 20 miles in their wagon on a good day.
The women would walk beside the wagons looking for scarce
firewood & cow chips for the evening fires .
Independence Rock marked roughly the halfway point on a
2000 mile journey westward which could take 6 months.
Some left their names inscribed on the rock & I spent about 2 hours
hiking around the rock and surrounding area in 50 m.p.h. plus
winds on Tuesday ....
I can away with an even greater appreciation of the people who
came before us, their struggle & sacrifice in creating much
of what we take for granted every day.
I am lucky in that I get to travel this truly great country
and meet some very nice folks along the way.
Really, that is my pay at the end of the day.
Wyoming is a really inspiring state to travel thru,
