OK, not much action in the construction forum....so

What's an H4 based on? Might get one(wife's in FLA !). Guy's sending pictures on the weekend. I'd rather have an H3 ( D15 based...) kinda fit in with the D-14s I have.

thanks for any info ,google wasn't good for me,sigh.

Jay,

I have been known to be wrong, but I have always thought that the HD-4 did not have a gasoline version, like the H-3 or HD-3. Someone set me straight if I am wrong. Thanks    Bob@allisdowneast

Well I did see an H-4 manual online, just no specs.... and I did finally figure out the D in HD-3 means Diesel.....

HD-4 was Diesel
H-4 was gas

Engine is the 200CID 4 cylinder version of the 301cid 6 cylinder used in the 190 farm tractor

Hd4 and H4 were not based off of any farm tractor....they were a product of the construction division

There was and HD3 that was NOT based off of the D15, it was from the construction division as well. Used a 2-71 Detroit Diesel. Rare duck, only like 30 built
