I was helping a friend move some cattle and had my dogs in the cab of my pickup, his puppy, black lab, jumped up on the side of my pickup on both doors trying to get at my dogs, anyway we didnt notice this was going on and it left the doors of my pickup scratched terrible.....it is a 2003 model ford and can only see one place where it went through the paint. All the scratches are visible but dont look like they went through the paint, can these be buffed out by a body shop. THanks for your help

Probably scratched the clear coat and did not reach the base coat. All you can do is take it to a body shop and have them try to buff it,should not cost much. If you dont like the results you will have to have the door cleared. Should not be to expensive.JM

I have worked at a body shop for 8.5 years and the saying is if you can chatch your finger nail on the sratch than it is to deep to buff. hope it helps

i've fixed these types of scratches on a daily basis u can try to just buff,but if there deep enough you will have to wet sand with 2000 grit then buff,it takes some time but u can usually get them out, done body work for 23 years
