I've been cultivating about 250 acres for the last few years since I restored the D-21 and thought it was time for duals. The tractor came with 18.4 x 34's and since I had a pair of 23.1 x 34" from my very brief modified tractor pulling days in the mid 70's, we added 5" to the rims and used the non stock tires. The dual hardware is originial Allis-Chalmers from my friend's D-21. We also added 5" to the rim width (20") and mounted a pair of 23.1's from a Gleaner L2 (Sandylake). It's 12'4" wide, looks and rides good.

That is too Shweet! I love a big mean tractor with duals on it. Just screams attitude. You see something like that, and you know it means business. Excellent job Calvin.

Calvin, I was going to ask for a ride, ask about the duals, does differant tire tread/pattern, cuts, wear, make any differance?  BUT the HOCKEY, game is on!  I am from the Pittsburgh area, and you, as I seen, from the "area above"  LOL
Sorry, had to do it, but does the wear, pattern, etc. make a differance?

Thanks, Dave in PA

Let me know when I can get a ride, FINE looking tractor!

Dave, It will be a full day in the saddle again tomorrow. You can drive while I have lunch. You are only 7-8 hours away so if you leave home at 4 am. you will be on time. I could arrange for more seat time for you. We have a guest room for you tomorrow night.

Dave. I don't think that the different tread pattern and wear makes any noticeable difference. Duals in this case are more to improve the ride and reduce compaction. Extra traction is a bonus. The tractor does not have any ballast and weighs 9900 lbs without the duals.

How big of a cultivator are you pulling?  I have a D21 with 30.5 32s and it weighs just a little more than 12500 lbs and i am trying to pull an allis chalmers 2500 disk that is 24 wide and it wont hook up I have alot of slippage in 5th gear.  I don't know if I should add more weight or not.

When I got the screen chromed, they had to remove the square plate that held the decal. The emblem is from a lawn tractor. I painted it.
