Hi all,

Dad had a good day at the junk yard today.  Him and one of his buddies, that told him about the AC's in the yard, took a tip out there this morning.  They had breakfast and then collected the parts, and were back to town by noon, a good day.

There was a WD and a WC there for parts.  They ended up getting some parts that I needed for my WD and WC projects.

I haven't seen pics yet, but when I get them, I'll share.

Got two front rims, one for the WD to replace the one on it that has been broke and welded.  And the other for the WC which is all rotten.
Got one rear spin out rim and hub to cut up and use for patching rotten valve stem areas in two other bad rims I have, one on the WD and one on the WC.
Got one complete headlight for the WC, which is missing, and a lens to complete the broken one on the WD.
Got a magneto in unknown condition for the WC, which had been switched to distributor.  Hopefully its at minimum a good rebuild-able core, if not a good unit.
Got a generator in unknown condition, for the WC again, which had been switched to a alternator.  Same story, spins nice so hopefully rebuild-able or good.
Got a pan seat for the WD, which had been changed to a JD seat.
Got the PTO and pillow block and guard for the WC, which was missing.
Got radiator shutters (with hand crank) for either tractor, because neither currently have any.
And I think he snagged a decent muffler too.

That's all I think, I might be forgetting something.  With scrap being high, he didn't get a steal on any of this, but got the works for 200$.

As of me typing this, Dad was working on disassembling the spin out rim and cutting the junk tire off of it to see what the inside of the rim looks like.  All the wheel eccentrics were loose and he already had the hub off the rim.  He was going to take some pics, but the camera is acting up, so Mom is trying to fix it.  So hopefully pics to come soon.

The tractors had been gone over once already, so a lot of the good parts were already missing, like carbs.  Block on WC craked like many are, manifolds junk, some sheetmetal was good, but fenders shot.  A lot of other odds and ends already missing.

Just thought I'd share.  If a guy is patient enough, the parts do show up.... :)

Got some pics,

Here are the two front rims, next to another recently fixed rim.  Love the donuts, LOL!

Generator, spins nice with no squeeks...

Headlight, and lens

mag, needs work.

Rad shutters, need TLC.

Junk rear rim to cut up to patch other bad rims.

PTO and shield for WC.  (and muffler)
Is this shield right?  Don't know much about WC's yet.

And lastly, the pan seat for the WD. Needs a little TLC, but should clean up fine.
Question (I may have asked this before) What is the reason for 3 holes versus the seats with more holes (6 or 8?) on WD's??  Is it different years, or different suppliers?  What kind is right for a 1950 WD??
