Anyone know what type of spark plugs should be installed on a 1948 Allis Chalmers B tractor or know where I can find this information? I've researched and found that the plug gap is 0.035 in. Is this correct? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you, Joose.

Autolite 295. That gap sounds correct.

We used to use AC-45, AC-47, and AC-48, depending on the age and engine condition of the tractor.
I think 35 is a good gap but my memory reminds me of 40.
However, reports indicate that the AC plug is no longer that good.  Autolight is the plug of choice.
Good Luck!

I have a set of AC R45 plugs in my CA. With point style ignition, I wouldn't go over .030 gap. The shop manual for the D10/12 shows .025 for a plug gap. I have mine set at .045, but I'm using a Pertronix Ignitor module and Flamethrower coil.
