Anybody got an HD7 that can take a picture of the water temp gauge for me? Got a pizano over in Italy looking for one for his Dozer. | Well Steve, I snagged some pictures on my phone this morning, but the only way I know how to get them to you is texting them to a cell phone. We were trying to post some pictures on the forum here last night for kind of a test run, and I guess my son must have lost his touch, because he gave up. He got some to post this summer, but he couldn't remember exactly how he did it. If you like, you can call my cell @ 701.872.6500, then I can text the pictures back at the number you call me on. Darrel, Unfortunately, that's waaaay to much technology for me. My cell phone was state of the art 10 years ago. I don't text, nor am I set up for that. I gotta' old flip up phone. Ok, guys we got it covered. I got the pictures from Darrel, so on his behalf we'll post em. I think all of those temperature gauges were the same for all of those tractors for many years. We're always trying to find good ones on any of these old specimens for future restoration projects.  Also I ask Darrel to forward me some pictures of his HD5 steering clutch debacle to post up to see if forum members can help out. |

| Thanks for the help there, Mel. Actually the Guage pictured plus any other part on this old 7 would be for sale. The rear end area of this machine totally lunched out on me about 5 years ago. Not sure exactly what happened, but I had the left steering clutch lever pulled back, and I stepped on the left brake pedal, and all hell broke loose. She let out a gut wrenching crunching sound, killed the engine instantly, ripped the left drive sprocket right up off the frame rails, broken cast iron everywhere, oil pouring out, I genuine mess. Still sits up in the pasture where it happened. Darrel |

| It is pre 1955 (I think it is a 1948) because it has a 3-71 Detroit. Running gear, if you are referring to tracks and bogey wheels, are good. Darrel |

Hi could you measure the width of the track chains please and also if there is a part no on them. Regards and If poss some plc tires as I may be interested in the chains plates and rollers. |

Ok guys, Darrel went out in the cold to the north 40 and got some HD7 pictures, so I'll see if I can get them to work. It does look like something broke.  Maybe it was a speed bump  Darrel says this blade can handle snow pretty well.   Definitely a nice specimen for an HD7 with baker blade. So fire away at Darrel with your questions
