Eldon,

I was told that New Idea made balers for Ford and Allis.  Haybines also.

When I worked for the local Ford dealer in the late 1960's the balers were made by Long in the southeast.  They may have also made AC's for a time after or near the end of the rotobaler era. 532 was the Ford model that Long built, still remember the #, must have assembled enough of them!

I'm pretty sure that Allis built their own balers.  The ford baler is similar, but not identical.  I've seen a long baler that looks just like a ford.  The knotter parts on most old balers are intercangeable minus IH and MF.
