I was finally combining my corn yesterday. (Long story). Anyway, the ground drive variable speed unit is leaking oil like crazy, and lubing the chains on the left side - along with the belts. I can't find anything in my books about how that unit is put togather or how to disassemble it. I need to pull the outer pulley with a 2 arm puller but beyond that I haven't a clue. Perhaps it will be self explanatory. Is the seal an o ring or something more exotic? Any advice is always appreciated. It was 80 degrees yesterday but snowing today so combining may be a couple days off.

You've got to get some kind of a puller on that outer sheave and get it yanked off of the shaft first...after that I think it's easy....replace any brgs that got oil on them. After reinstalling the outer sheave (get it tight) run for a while and recheck torque on the nut (get it tight again) or you'll be sorry.
