I am on the hunt for a serial number from a machine bought at auction. A 636 Type R Hydrocone.  I have the serial number from the engine as well as the casting # off of the main frame (Bottom Shell). I am a Metso vendor & have been in contact with them but so far no luck. Was wondering if anyone here was knowledgeable of these machines or knew of any one that could possibly assist me in identifying the age of the machine or know of any other identifying factors that could aide in finding the serial number. Or at least narrowing down the age enough to confidently buy parts to repair some minor issues that it has. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the replies. I actually have a library of the manuals because we are a Metso vendor so I have access to all of their materials but does not help me unless I have the actual serial number. I was hoping to find someone in this forum that was very knowledgeable of these machines.
