Gentlemen,
Food for thought. Is there a way to remove the torque tube on a
WD in the interest of removing the weight on a puller.
Would the bearing in the case have to be saved or removed when fabricating a new lighter support for the shaft?
I can find nothing on this but, would this mod be legal for USAP/NATPA rules?
Just thinkin, probably have too much time on my hands!

I did it to mine used a piece of pipe between the two housings so I didn't have to worry about sealing around the shafts
