I replaced the clutch and throughour bearing on my D14 and now it is starting to come out of 2nd gear wheni put it under a load. It also seems harder to find the other gears, the day before i could get it in 2nd and 3rd without a problem, but no way on the others? now it goes in all gears but have the problem on 2nd gear. Any advice? What is the fix and how difficult is the repair.
Thanks Guys

Sounds like it might be time to split it open and take a look inside at what is going on.

Take the side cover off and look at the shift fork. It probably has the edge worn off the side that engages it into position.  If you try to bend the fork, it will probably start coming out of 3rd instead.  I have one in similar shape and have been planning on trying to weld a bead on the side of the fork, then smooth it down and see what happens.  Good luck!

Ive moved the detents on the shift fork shaft closer to the gear so it will go into gear farther  to help it stay in gear.  Takes a lot of trial and error to get it close.  If the engagement dogs are worn to badly that wont work. Sometimes splitting the tractor and using a thicker snap ring to take out the gear end play helps too.
