Was having some fun this spring. My big tractor was on the planter and the other was hooked to the phoenix harrow. I was mostly no-tilling, but needed to work in some ditches and end rows. So I put the 7010 on our 25 ft field cultivator. It pulled it fine in 5th and 6th low (powershift). Just had the injector pump rebuilt and she runs like new. It is the "biggest" 110 hp tractor I have been around. Later I put all new sweeps on the cultivator and went back to the field. Different story. The 25 ft was too much with all new sweeps. Had to put it back on the big tractor. Sure had fun though giving the 7010 a work out. It has 8000+ hrs and is still going strong. Wish I had taken some pictures.

I hooked my 7050 on our 24' Great Plains discovator this spring just to run over the garden a couple times. We usually pull it with a 8970 New Holland(210hp). It worked pretty good with the discs up, but lacked a little traction with singles. How fast do you pull your phoenix harrow?

I pull the Phoenix Harrow around 7 to 8 mph.....45 ft working width. It pulls a little hard in damp ground, but pretty easy on dry hard ground. I find it works best on ground that is too damp to field cultivate, but where you want it to dry out faster. It has sure helped with emergence in wet years and this year it was all I used before planting corn. Two trips at different angles fluffed the dirt up nicely and gave me just a little bit of loose soil to plant in.

This is the second year we've had ours, its around 45 ft too im not sure how many degrees we have it set right now. I pull ours at about 9 mph with my 7060, the dealer told us the faster the better and I was just curious to see how fast others pulled theres. We used it the other day over some corn ground that had anhydrous put on it, and it looked like it was worked. We work the ditches in with that discovator and then run the pheonix harrow over it all.
