Just read the notice that they placed in the Area Shopper (local bargan paper) that states that AGCO can come and pic up their new equipment off their dealership lot! They will still provide excellent service and parts. Good for them to tell corporate what to do. They are a great dealership that cares for their customers, with great people that work there !!! Thanks SLI glad to have you close by.

I hope Agco let's them stay a dealer.
They are very good with parts.
I know alot of Agco dealers that don't sell the tractors so maybe it won't be a problem.
Who knows, time will tell.

Thats the way to do it! Let em come get it ; I was at a dealership last week and they have a couple new signs, out front ; one have removable letters cause they have no idea what The Almighty Agco will be doing tomorrow ; Agco has become the laughing stock in the equipment industry -IMO- On some other forums, Ive noticed that the demand for Agco products is there but - can they be depended on after the sale? Alot of folks went green, or red , cant blame them !!!

I was HONORED to meet Bill and the rest of the Sandy Lake Crew at Canadagia NY a few years ago - have been kicking myself ever since that I did not get a picture.
Sandy Lake has an outstanding repuration. I have talked to Bill via e-mail and inquired what their plans were. Usually, they transfer to Massy but my understanding is that there is a Massy Dealer too close for them to transfer to them. Interesting, their situation was so much like ours. AGCO would not let them sell small tractors which was their best selling units in that area.
Let me wish Bill and the outstanding Sandy Lake Crew my very best. They are just too good a dealership to be lost.

I hope Sandy Lake Imp. can overcome the stupidity of AGCO! I have not gotten parts from them but I have ordered parts from AGCO dealers here in MO. I am hoping the parts are going to be there for us after AGCO is done doing in there dealers!

I wish all the best for Sandy Lake Impl. It is a real shame that the situation has come to this. Agco will regret their bullheaded behavior one of these days.

I hope Sandy Lake makes it through this shake up too. For someone to be willing to help a customer with an old tractor 4 states away going so far as to get someone at AGCO to look at a blue print of a long out of production engine, that's what you call service. AGCO will be very STUPID to run Sandy Lake off.

I was at Sandylake last week and asked Bill about the AGCO situation. AGCO picked up the whole goods two monts ago and Sandylake have a two year parts contract with AGCO. There are Blue tractors parked out front (not New Holland).
Saw Brenda again yesterday at the GOTO at Gray. I think that Sandylake will be just fine without AGCO.

Maybe Sandy Lake will be ok without Agco, but what Agco doesn't seem to realize, is they won't be fine without the dealers that have stood by them for all this time. The dealers have been through some real shenanigans (customers have too) that no one should be expected to tolerate. Agco would be nothing without the fine folks at all of the dealerships that they have now betrayed. It isn't the stockholders that sell the products. It is the dealers. If the corporation doesn't sell products, the stockholders start asking questions. The dealers need to be taken care of first. The rest of it will fall into place on it's own.
Trust, Loyalty, Honor. These are traits that I value. Too bad Agco doesn't have the same standards. Most of the people working for Agco have these qualities, but they aren't the ones calling the shots. With the job market as it is, they don't dare speak up.

AGCO stock is up $1.31 right now to $40.19. Just goes to show the investors don't have a clue to what mismanagement is going on there. They talk a good talk but lets see the sales numbers after orange is gone.

I agree with all above. Looks like their selling LS tractors and Versatile. One other AGCO dealer around here is selling Versatile and Kubota. I blame this AGCO debacle on management ineptness and Wall Street. Their looking for the quick buck and to heck with the future. This change to MF will lower their bottom line temporarily, (minimally), and that's all they care about. That's why I'm selling my AGCO equipment and going to replace it with short line equipment preferably ones that are still family owned.

In the age of Richenhagen: since his inception as CEO, AGCHEM sprayers and floaters are down about 50% market share. Just had local Coop spread fertilizer, operator said they are migrating all equip. to green. Keep up the good work Martin!

The AgChem brand may not be known in Europe, so it is expendable. They are probably trying to run it into the ground so that they can start plastering massey decals on the equipment. That ought to help it sell. Not. That seems to be the game plan for some of the other brands.
Does Richenhagen even know that people are talking about this? Or, is he in his crystal palace and unaware of all the dissatisfaction? Are his henchmen afraid to tell him how things really are? How can management seemingly ignore such angry and disgusted customers?
This is just too frustrating for words.

Looking at their numbers (above) and checking the stock today (down over $2) I'd say they are one hurtin puppy. A lot of the numbers are understandable, afterall, we are in a world recession - however the ag segment usually follows the others (construction, autos, shipping). What in the H*ll were management thinking?
