I have an unstyled WC I want to convert to electric start. I have a late model bellhousing, a starter & generator. Can I put a ring gear on the existing flywheel or is there a different flywheel on the electric start tractors?

I might be wrong and I can look in my parts books later, but a WD flywheel should be the same thing.  I just took an electric start one apart, but the flywheel was pretty rusted up.  If your close to SE Iowa, it's yours for the picking up.  Would need a new ring gear for sure.

The original flywheel doesn't have a place to mount a ring gear. You might want to look, maybe it has been changed at some point.

You do need a flywheel off a styled WC, WD, or WD45
