I purchased the forklift in the photo below and need to get the model number to order some filters.  The filter were so old the numbers were rusted over, also no number on the hyd filter??  Took them off and my dad took them to Napa to get new ones...well Napa now is a "got to have the part number/ model number to look anything up..."

Anyway, it has a Continental Motors name plate has
F245 8501 501244
AC ASSY nNO. 48811484

Can anyone help...

Also:
1) Anyone know where I can get a manual?
2) What automatic tranmission fuild should I use?

Thanks Richard

As you can see the weight on the rear was removed

The problem with modern parts people is "don't see any $$ here...try another place". I would check with another few parts places, eventually you'll meet someone that knows how to help you. As for the trans fluid I would go with Dexron. Wish you all the best - Eric

Thanks for the reply... I have found that engine oil and transmission filter are the same filter.  Still looking for hyd, think I have a plan for it.

But would really like the model number to start looking for some manuals on the lift..

You can try here....
http://www.liberatedmanuals.com/

do a search with 'allis-chalmers', it'll narrow it down a tad ! I downloaded a whack of them just to see what was used back then !!
your's looks like a 10,000# unit, mine's a baby at 5,000.
good luck !

Jay
