Well today was a good day for me. This whole weekend was good. Worked at the cabin cutting pine trees and prepping fields for this spring/summer. But when I got home, my mom had a surprise waiting for me. It was a letter from Delaware Valley College, which is a college in Doyalstown, PA that primarily has Ag related majors. It was the only school I applied to (I know, bad idea...) because I liked it so much, and didn't really want to go to a huge college like Penn State. The letter was a letter of acceptance and I can not WAIT to go there in the fall! I will be studying Ag Business. I just can not wait for the fall now. I am super excited and super happy! Now you may be wondering what this is doing in the farm equipment forum...
At the open house I found a '38 B with cultivator frames near the maintenance shop in need of a restoration! So maybe I won't be too far away from the hobby as I spend my college years down there!!!!!!!

congrats, don't hurry summer along too much, after summer comes fall, then snow, ugh!
------------- I tried to follow the science, but it was not there. I then followed the money, and that’s where I found the science.

Congrats on that! It sounds like you found a school that will fit you very well. Enjoy your summer still, though :). School work is still school work haha.

Glad it worked out for you. Now enjoy summer. Make every day last twice so those of us who are just getting over the long winter can warm up before it comes back again. God Bless.

Congratulations. Ag is a pretty steady business, and a very interesting career. I got my letter 41 years ago, and that ag degree set me up for some awesome experiences. Enjoy, and good luck.

Congratulations. Make the most of your college days as they go by fast. I got my degree in Agri-business in '71. Without the degree I probably would have milked cows and wouldn't have survived the '80's.
Education is more important today than ever before. Good Luck

Congrats! The thing that kills me here at college is not being able to walk outside and work on stuff like my tractors and mowers. Sounds like with there shop you'll be able to do some of that. Enjoy!

Congratulations and best wishes. Enjoy your time in college and learn all you can. Maybe it won't be like some of the larger schools where, as Jerry Clower would have said, the professors are educated beyond their intelligence.

Hubert,
My uncle ran the farm museum at Del Val about 10 yrs ago.
They have a professor in charge now, who meets Jerry Clowers criteria.
I gave them an Oliver sulky plow, and the track and hay loader for the barn. Don't know if anything came of it, wish I didn't now, as that hay loader was the first piece of equipment I ever got working again. I was 9 yrs old, and saved my allowance for 6 weeks to buy my first can of Liquid Wrench.
