I know its not orange but with all the knowlege ive seen here someone must be able to tell me something about this planter? Good Planter? Bad Planter? Proplems ? Likes Dislikes? Any info on setup would really be a plus.

not sure exactly what planter that is but if its an older airplanter ive heard that there junk. I have never personally worked with one but my dad and grandfather both claim there not even worth scrap price, but thats just what ive been told, some 1 on here might have first hand experience with them and can give you a better idea.

Its not an airplanter it has plates like the AC row units or JD 71 flex planters. Id post a pic if i knew how.

Our first four row was a 56 and it remained our planter intil I sold out in 1977, guessing it was 10 years old by then? I realy dont remember it being anything but dead reliable. There is at least 3 different rates of augers for the fertilizer and you need them as there is a narrow range of adjustment for each one. The 55-56 IHC and the A-C tool bar planters had the market here until the 7000 series deeres came out and it seemd that everyone traded for one of those, they kept the deere dealer in business. One thing I could never figure out was why the heck IHC used fiberglass boxes for the seed, and metal ones for the fertilizer until the late ones, a person would think it the other way around??
