Movin' things around in the garage and trying to get things cleaned up, I decided to install the Kohler V-twin in the 716H just to get it off the bench. It has to be raised an inch or so in order for the driveshaft  to align up, but this looks like its doable.

It will fit my friend has a 25 vtwin in a 7014 simplicity. He has a widened tiller. The tractor does not even know it is back there at all. He also re pullied the bevel box to speed it up. That baby really moves.

That's interesting. When I put the command in my Sovereign the crankshaft centerline was perfect without spacers.

Mike,
Where are you measuring from? Bottom of the block to the crank centerline? Just curious.
