Once again, my PTO driven rake has saved the day, but not without an issue. I had some alfalfa down, that got rained on, and the wind rows matted down really bad,and the regrowth of alfalfa had em held down pretty good. The wheel rake just skipped over the top of them. But the ole allis rake dug em out and fluffed em up nicely. The problem I have though, is that on the drive end of the basket, there's the shaft that is driven by the sprocket, that goes in to the center pipe of the basket, and held in there by a set screw and a five-sixteenth bolt. Anyhow, the bolt kept sheering off, so I thought I was going to lick the problem good, so I drilled out the hole to three-eighths, and put in a grade eight bolt. After my boy got done with 20 acres, I took a look at it, and sure enough, the three-eighths grade eight bolt was sheered off. Is this a problem unique to me, or is it common, and someone has a magical cure for it? I think if I drill it out any bigger, I'll weaken the shaft too much. Any ideas? And, also, does anyone have the part numbers for teeth and clips for this rake. I got some from a local agco dealer about five year's ago but I wasn't smart enough to save the numbers, and now that parts lady is gone, and micro fish readers are kind of few and far between these days. Thanks for any input. Darrel

I am not thinking so. May need to take it apart some day. Darrel
