Working on tracing problem on why my tac and hour meter isn't working on a 8000 series. They have kicked on separately from each other in the pass but dont know much for a starting point.

Check the flywheel sensor, on ours the sensor backed out of the mounting base. It works now. Leon B

Were would the all the grounds be checked? Checked the sender on flywheel and a wire was broken did a do it your self fix and nothing from it. It looks like it rubbed at one point.

Bump. Still haven't found problem. There is power that comes up to the meter but nothing is coming off the other two brown wires that go to the sensors. Have no juice at the flywheel sensor. Is it in the meter itself?

There's no voltage (juice) going to the sensor. The sensor creates a magnetic impulse signal to the meter as the flywheel passes by it. The sensor has a specific ohms reading if checked with an ohm meter. I don't presently know that amount. You could check the ohms reading against a new or good used one if available.

Still working on getting this tach going. Bought a new sensor and still nothing. Going to check with ohms meter at sensor but could the tach and hour meter just be bad? Or is the flywheel supposed to be in a certain spot.
