Hello all. I just put a fresh overhaul in a '36 WC. WOW! I sure is nice to hear it bark again. I do not plan on cosmetically restoring this one. It still has a fair amount of original paint left- never fell victim to a paint brush. Here's my thing, I am running rubber front and rear steel which was an option and looks pretty cool too. However, it has 5 lug front rims and they look like they have been there forever. I only recall 6 lug on early WCs. I have a 37 w/ 6 and this looks like all I have seen in books and photos. Let me know folks. Thanx, Josh

36 should still have spoked wheels I believe, 37 went to 6 bolt hubs and rims.

I had a 36 with six bolt hubs, can't remember s/n one thing to remember is changes hapened whenever they were ready and didn't wait till jan 1st Another thing that complicates matters is in the case of your tractor it's been 79 years and who knows what has been changed by previous owners.

Late 1936, serial # 23529-59627 had 6 bolt, before that they were 17" spokes.

I've seen several different fronts on these but 5 lug seems "too new". I have a feeling this tractor was on steel and it was changed out for rubber at sometime. It did have rubber front and rear when I got it and a set of rear steel. The rear rims/tires where from another tractor I assume looking at the paint. I have a set of 6 lug front hubs and rims in the parts shed, but they will look goofy with the awesome brush job they received from a previous owner. Maybe I am just too picky and just appreciate it for what it is...
