Is there a conversion for numbered venturi sizes? What is the ID of a #29 venturi? Reason I'm asking is I found a possible replacement for this Rumely carb and the venturi is listed as 29/32 ID while the carb specs say it takes a #29 venturi

Not an expert, all trial and error here. Had a feller tell me once that the number on the Venturi is the size of the opening in 32nds. Have drilled out a few distillate accordingly with satisfactory results.

That would make sense, originally I was thinking it was mm but that seemed too big. I'll have to measure the old one to know for sure but I was still curious.

Did you find a replacement venturi? I am now in need of one for my Waukesha 6bk. If you didn't find one I may be trying to fabricate one. Matt

No I haven't, McDonald has a venturi for a Zenith 267 that is 29/32 ID and looks similar to mine, might fit with some mods. I measured mine though and the ID is 1.030. I can bring my old one up when I bring that magneto and you can take some measurements, I'd guess the 6BK one would be similar. I'd be interested if you can make one. Are you around July 3rd?
