Bob - are those 6 inch shovels?  Yours look to be a VERY nice unit.  I wish mine had the proper cast clevis tongue and the paint was as nice as yours.  Mike

I have a 13 foot version of that 1200 FC with worn 4 inch shoves and it's really more than my 180 gas could handle in plowed ground in high 2nd at full throttle...mainly had serious traction issues...worn 16.9X28's at the time.  I have new 18.4X30's on it now and looking forward to see if I'm traction or HP limited.  Mike

I have a 17 footer with the wings.  I put the wings down last year and it stopped my Case 930.  Now I just leave them up and use them as weights!  LOL!   My center section is just like this one.  Traction was the problem.  I was pulling it pretty deep too.  My 18.4-34's are pretty worn out though.  I would say you need @70HP and good traction for it.  For all 17' of mine, who knows?  100HP?

We had a 3pt 10' like yours that we pulled on a series IV 17 and it handled it alright. When we got a 185 we added on 3' and pulled it a little faster.
