The three point hitch for my tractor (D-15 series 2) has always raised by itself anytime the clutch is out.  With a heavy implement it would stay but by itself it comes up and I can't get the lever to get it back down.  I turned the adjustment for the lift lower lever in as far as I was comfortable with and it made it better for a while, but it's getting worse again.  I can't get the plow to stay down either, I think the traction booster keeps raising it on me, because you can watch it fluctuate as it goes down the field.  Long story short, how hard is it to rebuild the pump, where is the best place to find the pieces I need and what kind of shop would I take it to to do the work if it's that hard to do?  Thanks for the help and Happy Easter to all.

It's not all that hard, basically pulling it out and putting it back in is harder than working on it IF you have the repair manuals. They are available. I'm wondering if your traction booster linkage is askew and needs adjusting, just judging from your general statements. Check that first, it may save you a whole lot of work.

Sounds like you just need to adjust the  linkage under the under the tractor, if it has factory 3 point, first adjust preload on torsion bar , then adjust the linkage under the pump so that when you move the TB lever up you don't feel any spring pressure till you get about half way up the quadrant. From what you describe you need to adjust the nuts on the threaded link forward. Hope this helps, otherwise call me at 360 201 5710, easier for me to talk than to type.
