Ok guys...finally picked it up...bought my first tractor today....of course an AC....WD45 Narrow front....she's all there except some missing snap coupler pieces, came with front wheel weights, good tins, an extra engine(the original that spun a bearing), and 2 snap coupler corn planters.....I'll post up pics tomorrow....the planters Im going to sell and the people that asked about them will get first dibs....I have no use for them...they both look to pretty much be there...one has what looks like fiberglass bins, the other has steel bins...one of the bigger 'glass ones is missing...the one with the steel bins really seems to be all there...just needs lots of PB Blaster to loosen some things up and some new drive chains....the tractor runs great, fires up after about 2 cranks though its been changed to 12 volt and has a 6v starter so it overruns itself a bit....I may change in back to 6v....any pros or cons to being either 6 or 12? I'll get pics posted up of it and the implements tomorrow when I get it unloaded.....oh and it reeeeeaaaly is going to need a right rear rim....anyone have one laying around??

also where is the cheapest place to get a new battery box? I found repop'd ones on ebay for like 70 bucks shipped....is that decent??

i have good used rims and good use battery boxes. what width rim do you need? i can ship these items via ups, or meet you at the mercer exit on 80, about 2.5 hours from you. shipping would be about $50 for these items. if interested email me. thanks,

If that rear rim is just rusted around the valve stem, they can be nicely fixed very reasonably. I fixed the rear rims on my D17 that were rusted out around the stems. I sliced a couple pieces out of another junk rim for patch panels and welded them in. I matched them up well enough, that you can't see the rims were ever repaired.

I would strongly recommend buying both a Owners manual and a Dealer Parts Catalog (original reprint, of course) for a WD-45. You will be amazed at how much you look at the parts book. I truly don't know where I would be or how I got through before without it.
Also, I noticed that your not too terribly far from me. Our club is having their spring steam up in May, Check the events page out for more if you'd like to bring it down.

If you'd like to pull, we have our spring tractor pull on April 24th. That pull is pay-per-hook. It is the only funds we receive for our pulling program and its upkeep. thats great...I'll keep that in mind! I gotta get on the ball and make sure this thing is mechanically ready to go.....has anyone noticed the brackets welded to the frame below the gas tank?? Im pretty sure they're not original as I've never seen another with them.....and I cant imagine what they hooked...the left one is bent and those angle iron pieces are at least 5/8 thick....

did anyone notice the throttle quadrant? looks like a home made one. also no rear hydraulic outlet.

yeah the hydro outlet is missing....and I have another steering column with the parts to fix the throttle setup

They might bolt up to the rear rims. I have one of them, that's all Dad ever had. He used it on the landside wheel of the CA when plowing.

you want some manuals for the wd-45 try jensales ay 200 main st.manchester mn 56007-8000 ph 800-443-0525.i have the ipc,owners manual and the overhaul manual,for the 45 gas and diesel.they are ac reproduction and they are very clear and precise.best of luck...
