I got into the front wheel bearings today and ran into a surprise.  It was the three rubber wafer type oil seal on the inside.  Of course each rubber wafer had a nice grove cut in the hub.

When I reassemble, are the replacements still like the original or will they be a lipped seal.  I think I may be in trouble with the hub grooves with a liped seal.

If you measure the hub with a caliper or micrometer, you can buy a "speedy sleeve" that will tap over the hub. They aren't cheap, but it's an easy fix. You may be able to locate a lip seal between the grooves and never have a problem with it.
