Will the old foot dragger rear tillers fit on a 900 series? Is the drive pulley set up different? How bad are prices on replacement tines?

Depends on the model....a 36" will work fine. A 32" will work but may take some finagling. On the latter, your bgb speed will be too fast for the tiller....could just idle down.
Got a picture or model #?

It looks like an older 32" Simplicity. It doesn't have any of the idler pulleys and the tines are worn.

Tines for the 32 are cheaper and easier to find than the tines for a 36." Expect to shell out an average of $100 for tines and $100-$150 for the drive pulleys. The 36" tillers are around and are the proper unit for your 900 Series. Tines for the 36" will run you around $200. I may have a 36" for sale sometime later this year.

Who sells the tines?---I need a set for my 917-H tiller----don't know who made it ---no name on it only have id # tag to go by! ---I know they are pricy but I need them!---Troy-built horse tines run around a hundred or so,--- so all tines are costly, but cant till without them! thanks; ac fleet

The tiller was made by Simplicity, just as the tractor was. A simplicity dealer can order the tines or you can order them from Sandy Lake, Wells, or Jack's Small Engines (online).

Well no body on the internet had tines for my 36" tiller, so I had to go to town and ask Margie, (parts lady at FS farmtown here and simp. dealer), she had them the next day and they came from a B & S engine warehouse just 70 miles north of me!---$225.25---MADE IN USA!---Pay the price if it's American made so I was happy to get them!---the funny thing about it was the fact that each tine was shipped in it's own box, 16 of them then they were packed in two bigger boxes! LOL! Still don't know what to make of it all! BUT I got me new tines to put on now! thanks; ac fleet
