Hi...what are the speed differences in the 180 to 190 tractor trans in road gear...
How much faster is the 180 vs the 190...30% ?? Is the 180 the better tractor to built for the llss class? Thanks for the help and opinions.

180 - 185 is right at 20% faster with the same size tire.

Anymore I'm not sure it matters as both drive lines have to be sped up way over road gear in a LLSS class to be competitive. If you are making gears for a 180 you can do the same for a 190, just a faster ratio. The 190 has a little more heft in the rear and finals I think. That is the next foreseeable issue as time goes on and power increases with the 180's in that class - final drives.

Is that you Jerry? If so send me a pm. I have a question about the oil pump bracket for the older 301 block.

I have overdrive gear boxes for 180-200. Alot less expensive and easer than changing gears in trans. to get the Ro. you may need. up to 35% over. MACK  660 663 9173
