I am about to start the process of turning a B110 into a stock/stock altered puller. It has the three speed in it. I have a 16HP cast iron Briggs to go in it too. I was wondering what tricks I need to do to the transaxle to beef it up. Should I install a bevel gear box off of a 700/900 series? They are a bit heavier from what I understand. Thanks.

if rules allow, do the component thing with a cadet type rear. Look on line hundreds of options. The differential is the weak point on the simplicity/allis when used for pulling, then the bevel gears, I don't know if the 900 are heavier or not, but they are not heavy enough for serious pulling... this has been our experience,

We've been pulling B series AC's since the late 80"s. The two weak spots in the rear are the axle tube and the right side hub that goes into the differential. The hub fix is get one out of a 700 or 900 series. The axle tube fix is a solid axle and billet hubs. If your running 23 x 10.50 tires a solid axle isn't needed. Been running a B-10 with without a solid axle for 20+ years on same axle tube. If rules allow make the rear a positive traction it will save axle tubes and make it pull better. Have a 710 with a K361 single ohv Kohler on alcohol making about 70hp. I know the weak spots. If your  staying stock or stock altered you don't need the cub stuff.

That sounds like what I will need to do. I want to keep it as original as possible. It may not be a winner, but everyone else runs cubs, so it is nice to be different. I have sent you a PM, edard12.
