is it possible to put a intercooler off a 7060 on to a d21?the 21 has a 220 engine, whats all involved that I need to know?

Yes it is, but you must run the newer style water pump to hook it up correctly. But then the water inlet for the pump is on the opposite side of the radiator.

The AC intercoolers as Harrison fixed for pulling I saw either used a straight thru flow as he used the rear cap on the front and drilled/tapped for a 3/4 pipe using the pump to flow through front to back, or the same set up using a front divided cap with 2 1/2 " fittings tapped in left side and right side allowing the water to flow front to back as it does stock. I would vote straight thru....
Many an intercooler on the AC's were put in 90 degrees off thus reducing the cooling by a bunch.

I always assumed the OEM way (front to back on one half and then turn around at the rear and go back forward) was an effort to keep the air temp delivery to the intake ports close together front to rear, instead of being cooler on the front and warmer at the rear.

Yes, I too have seen 426 intercooler cores rotated incorrectly allowing air to flow right by the core.
