My 712H runs well, but the trouble I have is when mowing it wont hold at a constant speed, ie. I will have it set at the speed I want then it will speed up, it only dose this after the trans. oil gets warm, it will hold at a constant speed for the first 10 or 15 min. and then i have to keep my hand on the HYDRO LEAVER all the time, I have changed the oil and filter on the hydro trans but that didn't help, I have also checked all if the linkage and it is all free....Thanks for any ideals Tom.

It sounds like you've checked all the basics. Usually speed problems on these machines are due to sticking linkage or a worn nylon cam roller.
