Today was Public Sale for my cousin, on the farms that have been in the family for over 200 years. Surely no sign of recession here, The 1949 Farmall H, bought new there that I learned to farm on, and I always wanted sold for $2150.oo there was no hint of red paint left on it & I figured it would sell for around $900.oo. A nice M sold for $1400.oo 2 weeks ago. I am a little disappointed but would have had to sell 1 of the WD's (to keep the peace & replenish the checkbook) and for that price I like my AC's much better. I know who bought it & it will get a complete makeover & he said I can come rake hay with it anytime. Still it was a sad day, a large chunk of my childhood gone forever, Thanks...Harvey

I can relate - It is a sad to see momories being sold. I guess you'll just have to make more.

It was a sad day when my grandpa sold his stuff! But, even sadder to see his expression as it all drove away!

I think that would be tough to see all that go. Being a teenager still, and only having my tractor for about 8 years I'd hate to see it go let alone growing up on it and watching it go 40 years later.
