Anyone have any good pictures of how they mounted their rear weight brackets on a d17? I have an idea how i want to do them but i figured it wouldn't hurt to get more ideas first. |

I'm currently redoing mine. I am making a plate to bolt to the four cradle bolts with a braced 36" long x 5" plate for the weights to hang. I still have my PTO and SC stuff though. | Thanks for the replies, im hoping to keep them in front of the rear axle, the sled we pull weighs 36,000 pounds dry and pulls hard so im hoping to keep as much weight toward the front as possible. Last year i ran my buddies dc-3 and i couldnt keep enough weight up front even on the loose packed tracks. My thought was to mount the front of the brackets into the frame rails and find a place out back to tie the rear into with a bar running crossways under where the belt pulley is at. |
