| I was given an ib by a fellow. it has "ib3492" stamped on it . i assume this is the serial number. what is the year? how much is it worth? it is stuck and has been painted blue. it has a big pulley and a cylinder ont the right side with the battery on the left(sitting on the seat) i want to restore it because i have never laid eyes on one till 2 weeks ago and my son just loved it. it is a cool looking machine. any help fellars? |

| Year would be sometime after 1954. After 1954 IB serial number records are unaccounted for. IB production stopped in 1958, so it is somewhere between a 54 and 58. Does it have the pintle hitch and foot throttle? Where are you located? Got any pictures of it? A few IB's were converted by other companies for implements such as mowers and oil well operations. Pictures would be neat to see of this rig! Battery box sounds to be in the correct, stock location. What all do you need help with? You came to the right place. |

I'm going to say it's a 1958. Adding the known production numbers per year to the last given serial number in 1953 makes anything from IB3483 and up a 1958, with 110 made that year the last one should be IB3592. All speculation and fun with numbers of course. | so tom what you saying is that i need to call it a "rare" "one of a kind" "one of the last made" 1958 IB LOL i'll try to get a pic of it. It does not have a pintle hitch but does have a foot throttle. one of the fenders is rusted bad but other than that the sheet metal is in good shape. It uses a wd fender dont it? or was it a wc? i am located in statenville ga about 4 miles above the fla line close to I-75 and a bigger town called Valdosta. do ya'll have get togethers like the cub guys do? |

| There is a Show in Gray, Tenn. April 23 thru 25, 2010 that has Allis-Chalmers as the Feature tractors. It is what is called a "GOTO"--Gathering of the Orange. I am Planning on going--kind of a birthday present for my wife! |

Here's my IB with Modified WD fenders on it using the original IB fenders as a pattern. My body man did a fabulous job on them. When he was done, these fenders looked exactly like the old IB's. Except they weren't a bucket of rust n' holes.... LOL
