I have done a search on this Forum and also YT Tractors on the price of early D12 tractors.  The lowest price I found was $3,050 and the highest was $8,500 for a restored later model tractor.  I would like to know if any of you have any other information about prices for the early tractors?  What would you expect a tractor with decent paint, good but mismatched tires, straight sheet metal, a good transmission and a good running engine to be worth?  It is missing the drawbar support and the drawbar and the gauges are pretty much worthless.  Thanks.

Farrell; The prices that you are refering to are from the James Murray sale here in Ontario last week. The $8500 tractor was a restored D-12 series II with power steering. Power steering on a D-10/12 is a fairly rare dealer installed option. A D-12 Series III with the range transmission but needing paint sold for $5500 or so. The tractor that you describe would likely be in the $3-4000 price range if its a series I. D-10/12 Series III's will bring a lot more.
