Some pics I took yesterday and today between the tractors on the lot and the tractor pull. Great, cool weather for a change, usually insanely hot! Real neat tractor that had been customized with hand controls for an older gentleman with polio, I believe. Tandem tractor was out in the field! Some from the show lot: Tractor Pullin! They were the big thing back in the 60s when big power started to come along. As seen not always did two of the same tractor get hooked together. Even some of the brand names had a setup that could be brought from the factory. Ford had a hitch that allowed the new 6000 tractor to be hitched with an 800 or 900. Of course most were farm shop built. When we needed a bigger tractor we just pulled out the 4 cylinder, installed a V8, added some better hydraulics and hitched to a 4 bottom semi. |

If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.
Real pullers don't have speed limits. If you can't make it GO... make it SHINY |

Garden guy,
Enjoyed the pictures! I could feel the coolness. Good show and pull. The one yellow hot rod tractor what make was that? Earth Master? (revised) OK I see its a minni mo). Have never seen the dual tractor set up with the structure underneath. Around hear we called it a chain! I remember picking corn with Dad and two of the WD45's hooked together. It was a sloppy mess! But we got it done. Being on the lead tractor I had to pay a little more attention to what dad was doing with the picker and try not to jerk the chain. Regards, Chris

Have seen twin hook ups, also know a man who has triple hook ups, he had a set of 830 JD with nice cab on the middle one, real neat and powerful.
