Working on a 190xt power director clutch. When taking the clutch pack off I discovered there are no steel balls beneath the Allen screws that secure it to the shaft. The repair manual says there should be 1/4 Chrome steel balls. Should I just find some balls to put in when reassembly or is they not used anymore? Thanks, John

Steel balls were not used in the very early years and were added as an improvement.

Thanks, I'll find some 1/4 inch balls and put them in when reassembling. The Allen heads weren't very tight when I removed them. This may keep them snugged up.
