post hole digger hitching help

   When I picked up my WD, I went down the road and bought this post hole digger as well.  The guy that sold it to me said it would hitch right up to the WD.  Well, I can't seem to grasp how this thing connects and how it would be stable.

I bought a manual off of ebay that I though was for it, but though they look similar, they are not the same.  Anybody have some information that would help?

While searching, I ran across this photo,

Looks like I need to drill some additional holes, but I'm not sure what the end of the arms are connected to to provide leverage...or what the other brackets are for.

	Years ago ,I had a Danuser digger with mounts for a WD-45. It mounted somewhat similar to your digger. On it the long round tubes mounted under the tractor somewhere. Maybe on drawbar mounting bolts? It's been a long time ago,but I know they did not mount to the lift arms like in the picture. I would say the shorter arms hanging down are what mounts to the lift arms to lift and lower the digger. I may be totally wrong. Hope you figure it out and good luck with it !!!!

	This looks like the digger Dad has. You need one more piece, if it is the same. There is a bar type piece that connects onto the tractor drawbar bail. The long arms coming from the gear box slip onto the ends of this bar piece. The shorter arms with the angle iron connect to the lift arms of the tractor. They bolt on. The holes on the angle iron should match up to the holes on the lift arms. Hope this helps, and it is entirely from memory. I know a picture would be well worth it, but, the digger is at the farm 70 miles away.

	Oh, and to confirm what Kyle says, the shorter arms with the angle iron do the lifting up and down. We also had another pipe that ran from the gear box area up toward the seat of the tractor. You could raise and lower this from the seat of the tractor controling the angle of the auger as it was lowered to the ground.

	Thanks...I've got a pile of parts with the loader, I'll check and see if the additional piece got mixed in with those. Everything was picked up at the sime time. I do know I have the handle mentioned.

	Nifty post hole digger. It is not much unlike a newer 3 point model that I have. Seeing an older one on the WD45 is nifty. In looking at the pictures and reading the posts, it looks like you should be able to get this running. On my 3 point model we make it a 2 person operation. One person running the tractor, and one person back by the auger who makes sure it is orientated just right before it is put into the ground.
