I have a one row AC planter that I purchased several years ago. It was made from a larger planter (8 row i believe).  I have not had much luck planting sweet corn,  Seed drop is inconsistance at best.  Do I have the wrong seed plate, wrong depth, something with the setup, not enough seed in the hopper?  I tried to upload some photos, but got an error saying file was to big.

It might be the seed plate, knocker roller, knocker spring, When you get you pic on the setup page resize the pic down to 800 x 600 and it will fit then.

OK, I think I see the trouble your having, Your drive chain is needing to be freed up, and oiled or just replaced, That will make the seed drop change around a lot.
